DVL started as a need in the self-storage industry, where tenants needed 24/7 remote access to locks and locations but it’s expensive to physically be present to service a location all the time. So we designed a lock that can do that.
Having solved our own problem, our friendly competitors started to buy our locks. Now, our proprietary system is currently used in 1 out of every 7 self-storage facilities in the country, including every Public Storage facility.
